The Beginning
The Beginning
“In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
—Douglas Adams
The Beginning
Welcome to existence! If you are like most people, you have probably asked yourself, “What the hell is going on?” Luckily, there is a very easy answer to that question: no one knows. Anyone who claims otherwise is selling something or is genuinely confused. After receiving such insightful clarity, the next obvious question is, “Okay… so what should I do now?” Only you can decide that, but I am glad the answer appears to be “investigate this book.”
By default, most people focus on whatever their culture deems important. They will find themselves focusing on career, hobbies, money, sex, entertainment, religion, politics, and so on. And while they do this, they often attribute some level of importance to such things. They will fight, claw, scream, murder, lie, cheat, and steal to get them or secure them. Those of us not behaving with such antics will simply shake our heads and wonder yet again, “What the hell…?”
Lucky for you, you’ve found the book that will tell you exactly what is going on. Since I offer this book for free, you must now conclude that I am simply confused. Except, this is where a shift in understanding becomes necessary. I am indeed trying to sell something—just not for money. I am attempting to sell you your own sanity because I very much hope to gain a return with a world that is better suited to me than the one I have now. To me, that is worth more than money. And yes, it sounds like a rather ambitious goal. Still, a man’s got to do something with his spare time.
What I am about to share touches on something that’s been circling around in our literature for ages but lacked the clear language, descriptions, technology, and science to articulate it. Now that we have all that, let’s cut to the chase. That noise of life with all its bickering and fighting? It all comes down to the voices in our heads.
Not all voices are verbal as we should all know: that smirk one gives, the kick under the table, the knowing wink, a picture, a gesture, or eyeroll. Such things speak all the time without any actual words. The voices in our heads are quite similar. Some speak aloud while others give impressions, and the mix is different in every person. To make it even more confusing, we can also change which voices we are tuning to. In essence, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We must learn to understand the mix of voices in our own minds and begin to choose how we hear them. The best place to start is in comprehending moods.
