THE PRACTICE / EVERYDAY FLOW
Small experiments. Interesting possibilities.
We don’t need ideal conditions to begin. Try one practice with an ordinary moment, and see what becomes available.
The current check-in
Take a minute before the next task. Name the feeling, the thought accompanying it, and one thing we need. No verdict required.
Observation or interpretation?
Divide a page into two columns. Write what happened in observable terms on one side and the meaning we gave it on the other. Circle an interpretation we could investigate.
Three open doors
Write a situation at the top of a page. Offer three plausible explanations, including one we haven’t seriously considered. Notice the feeling each explanation creates.
The next small experiment
Choose one action that fits the perspective we want to cultivate. Keep it small enough to try today. Afterward, write what we noticed and what we might try next.
